Edmonton New Remand Centre

Scheduled for a November 2011 completion of the capital construction phase, the Edmonton New Remand Centre will be the largest correctional facility in Canada. Once completed, the facility will be able to house 1947 inmates in 981 cells. The project includes a Health Care Clinic, a Mental Health Unit, full service kitchen, laundry facilities, administration space, Admission and Discharge Units, Segregation Units and General Population Pods.
