Tyler Roberge

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Roberge was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Stuart Olson Industrial Constructors Inc. after the previously held position of Lairds’ Executive Vice President. Tyler has over 28 years of multi-trade construction, estimating and project management experience in the heavy industrial, commercial and institutional construction industry. Tyler has held various leadership positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career and brings focused leadership on building industry leading high performance teams. Tyler is activity involved with various professional trade associations as well as provincial apprentice committees.

Denis Gareau

Vice President of Construction

Prior to joining Stuart Olson Industrial Constructors Inc. in January of 2011, Mr. Gareau was Senior Vice President for a national mechanical electrical constructor, responsible for the daily operation of the Northern Region, including Northern Ontario, Sudbury and Thunder Bay offices; the province of Manitoba, Winnipeg office; and Saskatchewan industrial projects. Denis has a business administration degree, holds professional trade licenses and has over 34 years' experience. Denis is actively involved with professional trade associations, including provincial trade advisory committees.

Yvon Kermen

Senior Vice President of Special Projects

Prior to joining Stuart Olson Industrial Constructors Inc. in February 2011, Mr. Kermen worked for one of Canada’s leading multi-trade contractors for 35 years. During his tenure with the company, Mr. Kermen held various senior managerial positions, the latest being Executive Vice President for Eastern Canada where he was responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations of the company throughout eastern Canada. Yvon has almost 50 years’ experience in the heavy industrial, commercial, institutional, power generation, natural gas distribution and pulp and paper industries.

Gary Schnase

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Schnase has forty years’ experience in the industrial construction sector with a background in heavy civil construction, mechanical and electrical installations. Before joining Stuart Olson Industrial Constructors Inc. his responsibilities ranged from project management to general manager of a major national contractor as well as a global mining consortium. He has been involved with projects, ranging from hydro generation, natural gas transmission, pulp and paper, mining, steel production, institutional and manufacturing facilities, across all regions of Canada and abroad. Gary has been with Stuart Olson Industrial Constructors Inc. since 2011.

Chris Boisvert

Electrical Manager

Mr. Boisvert was appointed Electrical Manager in 2010. Chris has held various leadership positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career. With over 17 years of construction experience in project management, controls and estimating in the heavy industrial and commercial sectors, Chris has demonstrated the hands on leadership qualities key to the integration of high performing teams. Chris is actively involved in trade associations.

Cecil Burton

Chief Estimator

Mr. Burton has 40 years of electrical estimating and management experience. Gold Seal Certified with a diverse background in industrial generation, commercial, hospital tendering and project controlling, Cecil is also involved in training electrical supervisors and project coordinators for all trades. Cecil is a past director for ECANO and is involved with their subcommittees.
